Shanghai sunny street cultural landscape

It's been over a decade since I last visited Shanghai. I always stayed in the Jing'an Temple and Xintiandi areas, mainly for the convenience of being close to work. This time, I was back for a concert, and after seeing a new hotel promotion on Trip.com, I decided to give it a try. The price was surprisingly affordable, and the location was incredibly convenient—Line 2 from Pudong Airport takes you directly to the nearby subway station. The Bund Pedestrian Street is just a few minutes' walk away.

Walking along the Bund in the evening, I was struck by how much it has changed. While the Oriental Pearl Tower across the river remains radiant, the facades of the adjacent buildings have all been renovated with LED lights, creating a truly stunning visual experience. The Bund's shoreline is also covered in LED floor lights, which, combined with the waterfall, creates a truly captivating experience. The road in front of the Peace Hotel has also been transformed into a pedestrian street, making it a delightful place to stroll. Many new shopping malls and shops have opened in this area, including an entire building dedicated to anime-themed stores—a must-see for anime fans.

This time, we also visited a new attraction, Panlong Tiandi. It's like an ancient town fused with modern style, a bit like a "new Zhouzhuang." It was a wonderful experience to stroll around, have coffee, and chat with friends.

Overall, my three-day trip to Shanghai was a great experience: comfortable accommodation, satisfying food, and fun activities. I'll definitely come back if I have the chance.
