The beauty of Shanghai's Bund

Shanghai's Bund is a symbol of the city, a place where past and present coexist, and a must-see for any visitor.

Travel Highlights

First. A unique landscape that simultaneously captures the historical Western-style buildings lining the Huangpu River and the modern skyscrapers of Pudong across the river.

Second. History: Preserves the history of the British and French Concession, established after the Opium Wars in the mid-19th century.

Third. Architecture: A diverse collection of buildings, including Gothic, Baroque, Renaissance, and Neoclassical, makes it a "world-class architectural museum."

Major Viewing Points: Tianyi Square and the entrance to East Nanjing Road offer excellent views of Pudong's Oriental Pearl Tower, Shanghai Tower, and the Bund's buildings at night.

Sightseeing Highlights: Huangpu River cruises, historical building tours, riverside strolls, and the Bund sightseeing tunnel experience.

Visit Tips

Basic Information: The Bund is a public promenade open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and there is no admission fee.

·Recommended Time:

For the most spectacular night view, visit between 7:00 PM and 8:00 PM.
All buildings are illuminated during this time. Lights are turned off after 10:00 PM.

If you prefer a less crowded time, early morning is recommended.

Recommended Course: This walking course takes approximately one hour. We recommend exploring the following route: Waibaidu Bridge → Bund Bull → Tianyi Square → Bund History Exhibition Hall.

The Bund is a space that embodies both Shanghai's vibrant present and its painful history. Knowing this background will enrich your experience.
