Cocktails in the Long Bar - Waldorf Astoria

The Long Bar at the Waldorf Astoria, Shanghai has a long history (not least being the place where the first KFC was established in China!). The bar used to be frequented by sailors, the young and rowdy ones, nicknamed ‘griffins’, used to sit at the back of the bar whilst the captains sat by the window overlooking the river.

Being sat in this historic building was only sweetened by the taste of delicious drinks. If you’re not a drinker, like me, I suggest you try the ‘secret garden’.
