Beautiful Weather in Wangxian Valley in May

Finally, I have had a chance to step foot on Wangxiang valley to witness this amazing little valley with houses built on the cliff side. Ended up spending about 6 hours inside this place. The beauty is captivating.


🗓️Itinerary Scheduling:
Day 1 : arriving Shangrao airport, went straight to Wangxiang valley B&B to check in. I arrived early in the morning. Therefore I had plenty of time to rest and have lunch before going to the gate. I stayed two km away from the entrance. The hotel will arrange for you.
I had my lunch in one of the local restaurant. Friendly people. I arrived a week after their major holiday of 1st May. So the crowd was a lot lesser. The weather is amazing at night and morning, where it is around 18C. Just nice and serene in this little town. You can still rest after your early lunch before going to the park. But remember, try to beat the tour groups.

Tip 1:
they usually suggest to go in around 4pm. But I insisted to leave earlier. Reason because all the tour groups will arrive around 4 to 430pm. You will probably need to squeeze thru the crowds then. I like to go in earlier and spend my time for a leisure walk around.

Tip 2: have an early dinner around 5pm or so. Avoid the dinner crowd and you have plenty of time to take the sunset golden hours photo.

Transportation is usually arranged by your B&B. Including the return trip. There is nothing much to do once you are back to the hotel as most of the restaurants might already be closed during off peak season.

Day 2:
Wake up early morning and checkout by 8. Leave to Shangrao city to catch a train to your next destination. In my case I arrived earlier and had some time to enjoy some breakfast. The train station is quite a walk from the car park. So give yourself plenty of time to arrive.

The transporter usually will pick up other passengers along the way.
