Just ended a relaxing trip to Shantou and stayed at the newly opened Yifei Hotel in 2025. The hotel service is good and the facilities are kept well, however personally I find it more suitable for business people as it has to be kept quiet and not very suitable for families. The location of the hotel is not in the city, the environment downstairs is quieter and not very lively.

This trip was sudden. I bought a ticket the day before and found out that Shantou Station was newly opened this year. It was really convenient! The main purpose was to come and eat and relax, without expecting to walk to other attractions.

The food in Chaoshan is really good, there are many styles and cheap, tea and coffee are very attractive. Think the three-day trip is considered relaxing, if just for food, two days is actually enough. However it’s best to bring a few more friends with you so you can eat more!
