Shanwei - Fengshan Mazu

Fengshan Mazu in Shanwei is located on the Fengshan Mountain in Shanwei, Guangdong Province. It is one of the largest Mazu stone sculptures in the Chinese mainland and a landmark of Shanwei Port.
The statue was built in 1994, designed by Professor Li Weisi, a modern Chinese sculptor, and carved by stonemasons from Hui'an, Fujian. The statue is 16.83 meters high and weighs about 1,000 tons.
