If I were to recommend a hotel in Shanwei, I would choose this one that's perfect for relaxing.
Weekend staycation in Shenzhen! Just an hour to Shanwei~ I've been so tired from working overtime lately, so I gave up on sightseeing and chose to relax at Jinting Bay!
There aren't many well-known hotels in Shanwei, so this time I picked the Poly Hilton DoubleTree🏨! Great value for money, very suitable for a vacation!
[RoundNails] Location*****: In the core area of Jinting Bay, right outside the hotel is the sea. Walking towards the beach, to the left is Whale Bay Town, great for family activities; to the right is the Sail Hall, perfect for friends and couples! Everyone can enjoy themselves without disturbing each other.
[DoubleHearts] Service****: On the day of check-in, it was a festival, so room availability was a bit slow. The front desk gave cookies and thoughtfully provided beach cards, so you can go play on the beach first before heading to your room.
[Clover] Facilities****: The whole hotel’s style is very much like Sanya and also Shanwei, with rich elements.
Sunken tea break tables, bamboo and rattan spiral staircases, fishing-themed paintings, layered eaves like sails setting off… fully but subtly reflecting Shanwei’s “fishing village” concept;
Infinity pool, tropical-style greenway, clearly designed by a Singaporean designer, embodying the “vacation garden” concept everywhere; children’s pool, outdoor playground, indoor play center… comprehensively catering to family needs, making it a qualified resort hotel.
Each room starts at 50 square meters and all have balconies, perfect for vacation! I booked a sea view room, and you can see the sea directly from the balcony.
I prefer staying in hotels rather than homestays because the bedding and amenities maintain consistent quality and give me a familiar sense of security. The bedding is very comfortable; I’ve been sleeping poorly lately, but here I slept soundly until morning!
Worth mentioning, the hotel provides Crocs and slippers, both of good quality! The slippers really reflect the hotel’s class! Crocs are very convenient for going to the beach!
Also, there are quite a few kids at the hotel, and I was worried about noise, but the soundproofing is good! I wasn’t disturbed at all!
🍜 Breakfast****: Pretty good! Western and Cantonese styles… all the usual offerings are complete. Worth mentioning is the beef noodle soup, which is really delicious! Chewy beef balls paired with seafood crab noodles! I ate two bowls by myself! You can request less noodles and more beef balls!
[Clover] Management***: If I had to mention a downside, it might be that the overall operation order could be improved; it felt a bit chaotic. But since it was a festival day with many guests, it’s understandable! Also, when I accidentally left my phone in the room at checkout, it was promptly found and returned! Very grateful~
✨ In summary, if you come to Shanwei, I highly recommend this hotel! It’s great for families with kids, couples relaxing, and team-building. Besides Hilton’s usual quality, this hotel has a great location, beautiful scenery, excellent design, and good service.
