Boarding the hotel by boat is a unique ritual, with the black-awning boat gently rocking on the blue waves, passing under stone bridges and weeping willows. Upon disembarking, you immediately see the layered Taimen-style architecture. The hotel is 12 km from Shaoxing city center (22 minutes by car), 14 km from Shaoxing North Station (18 minutes by car), 59 km from Hangzhou East Station (57 minutes by car), and 41 km from Hangzhou Xiaoshan Airport (30 minutes by car), making it convenient for self-driving travelers from Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai.
Designed by a team from the Academy of Fine Arts, the inspiration comes from Shaoxing’s traditional Taimen architecture, blending minimalist style with Eastern artistic conception. The three-entry courtyard is connected by water corridors, featuring white walls, black tiles, and four-sloped roofs. The horizontal three-entry layout fully displays the etiquette of Jiangnan. Over 800 collections are scattered throughout the public areas: wooden screens in the lobby, Dongyang wood carvings, the Shibaolin Shoushan Stone Sculpture Art Museum, black pine bonsai garden, crinoid fossils, and more, showcasing artistic treasures everywhere.
PuSHOW He Restaurant: A Chinese banquet-style restaurant specializing in creative Jiangnan cuisine! The space is decorated with black-awning boat oars, with a five-star chef in charge. Signature Shaoxing dishes include “Shao San Xian” (three fresh flavors), Yue chicken with yellow wine, meatballs and fish balls, Matsusaka pork stir-fry, Maotai wine-drunk peony shrimp, blending tradition and innovation.
