🏖️ Overview:
The Shiretoko Peninsula is a World Heritage Site on the eastern edge of Hokkaido, where you can see spectacular views of drift ice🧊 and animals. Here, the coast is rich in food and many birds, including migratory birds🦢, and in addition to seabirds, whales🐋 and killer whales also make an appearance, and wild animals such as sea lions, seals🦭 and brown bears🐻 also gather.
💞 Reasons for recommendation:
You can experience the majesty of nature and feel a sense of freedom. I have visited three times so far hoping to see wild killer whales, but unfortunately I have not been able to see one yet😢 Instead, I have enjoyed horseback riding🏇, trekking🥾 around the Shiretoko Five Lakes, and eating delicious food. I don't travel to the same places, but Shiretoko is an exception.
📍Location:
Cape Shiretoko, Rausu-cho, Menashi-gun, Hokkaido
