Visiting Gouqi Island 🏝

This place is the true evidence that nature will always claim what it belongs to it. This wonderful place is called Gouqi Island (枸杞岛). This island is located not far from Shanghai and east of Hangzhou. From Shanghai you can take the ferry and travel to the island in around 4 hours. The name "Gouqi" derives from the plant which grows on it, Gouqi. all the old houses are completely cover with this plant, making this place mysterious and beautiful. The island has a number of small townsites around it, and little in the way of resorts or other major tourist developments. It is primarily a fishing island. Sunrise and sunsets can be interesting to see in this time of the year (Autumn). summer time there are chance of rain and typhoons. #gouqi #island #abandonedvillage
