Longjing Gorge, formerly known as Longjing River, is located within the Dabie Mountain Main Peak Scenic Area in Huoshan County, Anhui Province. Born from Baimajian, the main peak of the Dabie Mountains, Longjing Gorge lies northeast of Baimajian, just 4 kilometers away. Before liberation, Longjing Gorge housed the village of Huazhu Caiping, a refuge for mountain dwellers fleeing war. It is now uninhabited. Local elders still vividly remember Huazhu Caiping, but it is now rarely visited, making it virtually uninhabited, further enhancing its mystique.

Longjing Gorge boasts the highest and largest waterfalls in the Dabie Mountains. Carved by these cascading waterfalls, the canyon is 15 kilometers long, 400 meters deep, and 40-300 meters wide. Within the canyon, clusters of waterfalls, bizarre rock formations, and lush green mountains create a majestic spectacle. Longjing Gorge is renowned for its lofty mountains, picturesque waters, peculiar rock formations, and unique waterfalls. The Longjing River within the scenic area lies at the neck of Baimajian, the main peak of the Dabie Mountains, at an altitude of over 1,000 meters, making it the highest river in the region.

Water Beauty: The 10-kilometer radius surrounding Longjing Gorge is uninhabited, and the dense forests at its source create a rarely visited, pristine land, unpolluted and boasting year-round flowing water and picturesque scenery. Stone Strangeness: Cliffs flank the valley, and along the riverbank stand strangely shaped rocks. Some resemble birds and beasts, some resemble meditating immortals, some rest quietly on the water's surface, some towering into the sky, some protruding from the forest, and some slanting through peaks. The sights are truly endless, countless, and indescribable.

Longwangzun Waterfall, 40 meters high, cascades down the mountainside, offering exceptional scenic beauty. The upper portion of the waterfall, with its steep slope and a depression, resembles a wine jar used by ancient emperors, earning it the name "Dragon King Zun." Longmentiao Waterfall, 70 meters high, boasts the largest drop of the four waterfalls. Rising from between two peaks, the cascade is a breathtaking spectacle, reminiscent of a galloping horse and resounding like a bell. Its location on the mountain's shady slope creates a sense of tranquility and depth, leaving visitors feeling ethereal and mesmerized.
