Gouqi Island: China’s Little Greece 🇨🇳🌅

#cherryblossom25
Gouqi Island is one of the most well known of the Shengsi Islands, a group of about 400 islands that make up the Zhoushan Archipelago. Of the 400, only 18 of the islands are habitable. Deriving its name from the gouqi, that are found in abundance during the late summer, Gouqi Island is sometimes referred to as the “Little Greece of China” and is a popular tourist getaway. With a reputation as a fishing island, Gouqi is especially known for its mussel farms.

This is the #zhoushan version of "When Tangerines Come to Meet You". From the round-the-island highway, get on the boat to go fishing. From the highest point of the island, go deep into the uninhabited land of Shengshan. We are quietly watching the sunset, and the island is hidden into the sleepless night.
