Giving up Harbin, heading to Shennongjia with the kids for just over 300 on the plane tickets!

Who says you can't have fun with kids in winter? Shennongjia really works!
Daytime temperatures hover around 0°C, and it’s even warmer at noon~ Compared to the Northeast where it can drop below -20°C, it’s so much friendlier for kids from the south! The kids can play in the snow outside without worrying about the cold.
&
🏨 But one thing to note:
Shennongjia has no heating! At night, you rely entirely on the air conditioner… So when choosing a hotel, make sure the air conditioning heating works well!
·
🎿 Zhonghe Ski Resort is perfect for little kids
The slopes are gentle, the snow is soft, and falling doesn’t hurt~ But note, the ski resort only provides children’s ski gear from size 28 and up. Remember to bring your own ski goggles, gloves, and helmets.
&
👗 Snow suit rental tips
Don’t rent at the ski resort! They’re ugly and dirty… Rent in Muyuzhen instead, 80 yuan for a full set of eight pieces, clean and stylish, perfect for photos~
·
On the way to Shennongding, you’ll meet lots of cute animals! Golden monkeys, deer, pheasants… We even ran into a giant panda at the Wildman Cave!! The kids were super excited.
·
🎭 “Mystic Shennongjia” is worth watching
At the Yandi Grand Theater, the show is fantastic, and after it ends, you can take photos with the actors. The kids loved it!
·
🚗 Travel tips
Driving on snowy roads is risky, not recommended for beginners. Joining a parent-child tour is really convenient~ Hotels, tickets, and transportation are all included, plus activities designed especially for kids, so it’s worry-free!
·
📅 Best time to visit
From late December to February is the snow season, with January having the most frequent snowfalls~ Remember to book hotels and high-speed train tickets in advance!
·
✨ Recommended kid-friendly spots:
Zhonghe Ski Resort: beginner-friendly, with professional coaches, kids can learn basic skiing in 1-2 hours
Golden Monkey Base: get up close to the little golden monkeys, they even walk on two legs, super cute
Shennong Altar: see the 1,300-year-old “King Cedar,” feel the power of nature
