Beiling Park (Qingzhao Mausoleum)
Visiting in early September, Shenyang Beiling Park still felt the warmth of summer, making the sun feel warm, even a little hot. However, the lush forest paths and shaded walks, with a cool breeze, were much more comfortable. Centered around the Qingzhao Mausoleum, the tomb of Qing Dynasty founder Nurhachi and his empress, the park offers a place to experience both history and nature in the heart of the city. The long path leading to the mausoleum is lined with stone statues and steles, creating a majestic atmosphere. The mausoleum's architecture, adorned with yellow tiles and ornate Dancheong (traditional Korean paintwork), was a symbol of the authority of the early Qing Dynasty.
Although the leaves had not yet turned red in early September, the contrast between the green forest and the red pavilion was strikingly beautiful. Although I was a little sweaty, the breeze blowing through the forest path and the expansive landscape made the walk all the more enjoyable. The experience of walking through the historic site that marked the beginning of the Qing Dynasty, amidst the tranquility of nature, was truly special, and it was an attractive destination that combined leisurely strolls with cultural exploration.
