Southerners Visit Shenyang: Enjoying Maple and Chrysanthemums at Beiling Park and Warm Moments at Haoze Hotel During the National Day Holiday

Carrying the lingering warmth of early autumn in the south, we headed to Shenyang during the National Day holiday, eager to personally experience the unique intensity and crispness of northern autumn. On the first day of the trip, Beiling Park became our delightful first encounter with the city, and the thoughtful service at Shenyang Haoze Hotel extended that surprise into a heartwarming experience.

As soon as we stepped into Beiling Park, we were deeply moved by the difference between southern and northern autumns. Unlike the gradual color change in the south, autumn here arrives more directly and passionately — vast stretches of maple trees had already turned bright red, like blazing flames, casting a warm hue over the garden. Even more delightful was the sight of blooming chrysanthemums everywhere in the park: bright yellow, elegant white, and gentle pink, either clustered along the pathways or scattered among the maple groves. The red maples and autumn chrysanthemums complemented each other beautifully, creating richly layered scenes that made me instinctively raise my camera and start “checking in” with photos.

The child was even more excited than I was, stepping on the scattered small maple leaves on the ground like stepping on pieces of gold, hopping and skipping forward. We strolled along the lakeside, where the breeze rippled the water, blending the reflections of maples and the fragrance of chrysanthemums into the lake. Occasionally stopping to pick up uniquely shaped maple leaves with the child or lean in to smell the faint floral scent of the chrysanthemums, his clear laughter mingled with the autumn scenery, becoming the most touching image of the trip. Every photo captured the passion of the red maples, the elegance of the autumn chrysanthemums, the child’s liveliness, and my smile. Without trying to find the perfect angle, every shot was a great picture, and every moment was pleasing to the eye.

By sunset, though tired, we were wrapped in joy as we headed to the Shenyang Haoze Hotel, which we had booked in advance. The moment we opened the door, the spacious and bright room was a refreshing sight. The transparent lighting and tidy arrangement instantly dispelled our travel fatigue. The child cheered and ran inside, rolling on the soft bed with eyes full of delight. What touched us even more was the hotel’s service — the staff not only warmly and attentively helped us with our luggage but also specially prepared a children’s toiletries set and cute little gifts for the child. This thoughtful care made us feel especially warm while far from home.

Looking back on the day, from the beautiful maple and chrysanthemum scenery at Beiling Park to the considerate companionship at Haoze Hotel, every detail was just right. As a southern traveler, I not only experienced the unique charm of Shenyang’s autumn but also felt the warmth and comfort of the journey. This trip was no longer just a simple outing but a time filled with wonderful memories, worthy of being treasured forever.
