Ba Nu Hotpot is a well-known hotpot restaurant in Shenzhen. In the past, when I went to the mainland for hotpot, I usually went to Hai X Lao. In recent years, a new star has emerged in the hotpot industry, which is Ba Nu, specializing in tripe hotpot. Their famous tripe and mushroom soup are natural and additive-free. They insist on not keeping any dishes overnight to maintain freshness, and their service is not overly attentive. Everything is done with care, making them the king of the hotpot industry.
Ba Nu is a hotpot restaurant that I personally like very much because their mushroom soup base is really good. The hotpot ingredients are of high freshness and quality. Compared to its competitor Hai Di Lao, Ba Nu is much better. It focuses on health and wellness, with a variety of dishes that are truly worth recommending.
Three-flavor hotpot base
The soup base is really good. The wild mushroom soup in the middle is very fragrant, with a strong mushroom flavor. It's very refreshing to drink the soup while having hotpot. The bone broth is very rich and delicious.
Ba Nu Tripe
I am not a big fan of tripe, but Ba Nu's tripe is really smooth and tender. It's rare to find this texture.
Snowflake Beef
The beef is thin but rich in fat, very tender and delicious.
Hand-cut Beef
This beef has a firmer texture compared to the snowflake beef, with a stronger beef flavor. Very tasty.
Fresh Duck Blood
It's my first time seeing fresh duck blood. It looks like jelly, with no fishy smell at all. It's very smooth and goes perfectly with the spicy soup.
Fresh Duck Intestines
A must-order. The duck intestines are very fresh, smooth, and slightly greasy. Delicious.
Brown Sugar Glutinous Rice Cake
It has a texture similar to glutinous rice balls, very chewy. Paired with sweet brown sugar and peanuts, it's just right.
