Be sure to save one night in Singapore for this Citywalk route!

Starting from the colonial historic buildings, stroll along the Singapore River, and finally arrive at Merlion Park. The entire route is about 2-3 kilometers with gentle slopes, perfect for a walk on a clear evening to enjoy the romantic sunset of the Lion City.

📍 Route Overview: CHIJMES → St. Andrew's Cathedral → National Gallery Singapore → Victoria Theatre → Along the Singapore River → Merlion Park

🏛️ First Segment: Historic District (Recommended visit time: Evening 5:30 - 6:30 PM)
🚶🏻‍➡️ Starting Point: CHIJMES
💡 Tip: It’s recommended to exit at City Hall MRT station. CHIJMES was once a convent and is now a refined dining hub. The pure white courtyard and cloisters look stunning in the soft evening light. You can start your journey here with a cup of coffee.

🚶🏻‍➡️ Pass by: St. Andrew's Cathedral
💡 Tip: A few minutes’ walk from CHIJMES brings you to this pristine Gothic-style cathedral. In the evening, the golden sunlight and the clear blue September sky make the cathedral look especially sacred and grand, an excellent backdrop for photos.

🚶🏻‍➡️ Pass by: National Gallery Singapore & City Hall
💡 Tip: Continue forward to see the magnificent neoclassical buildings of the National Gallery Singapore and City Hall. In the evening, with fewer tourists around, you can stroll outside and admire the grand architecture that looks solemn and historic in the twilight.

🌉 Second Segment: Singapore River Walk (Recommended visit time: Evening 6:30 - 7:15 PM)
📍 Landmark: Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall
The Victoria Theatre, with its clock tower, looks especially elegant before nightfall. There are usually few visitors here, so you can take photos without disturbance.
🚶 Walk across Anderson Bridge; on the opposite bank is the lively Clarke Quay, but this side is relatively quiet. Along the way, you’ll see many vintage dock warehouses and modern sculptures.

🦁 Third Segment: Landmark Night View (Recommended visit time: Evening 7:15 PM and later)
📍 Merlion Park
When night fully falls, the Merlion shines brightly under the spotlights, water spouting from its mouth, with the breathtaking Marina Bay nightscape behind it.
🚶 Walk around the lake to the opposite shore, where the modern, bustling, and artistic Marina Bay night view blends beautifully. If you have time, wait until 8:00 or 9:00 PM (with an extra show at 11:00 PM on weekends) to enjoy the light and water show "Spectra" at Marina Bay Sands. Afterward, you can head to Gardens by the Bay to watch the Supertree light and music show at 7:45 or 8:45 PM. It’s truly spectacular.
📌 This route is worth experiencing starting one evening. The weather in Singapore in September is comfortable, and when it’s not raining, walking to feel the charm of the Lion City 🇸🇬 is a fantastic experience!
