#ShenzhenItinerary
In the dim morning light, I came to Gankeng Ancient Town hidden in the bustling city. This Hakka ancient town with a century-old history is famous for its ancient buildings with blue bricks, black tiles, and flying eaves and pointed corners. I strolled along the cobblestone road, passing by the ancient stage and Hakka walled houses. The small shops on the street sold traditional sugar paintings and handmade cloth shoes, making me feel like I had traveled back to the old days. I sat in a teahouse in the ancient town, brewed a pot of Hakka lei tea, and savored the warmth and stories of this city's history.
In the afternoon, I drove to Nantou Ancient Town, a town with a history of more than 1,700 years, which was once the earliest administrative center of Shenzhen. The city gate is still majestic, and ancient houses and bluestone streets from the Ming and Qing dynasties can still be seen in the alleys. I walked into a bookstore hidden deep in the old street, flipped through books recording the history of Shenzhen, and felt the cultural roots that have never been forgotten behind the city's rapid development.
