Narai-juku was once the busiest post town on the Kisoji road.

Also known as "Narai Senken," this post town was once the busiest on the Kisoji road along the Nakasendo road❄️
The beautiful streetscape with its wide dirt floors and Senbon latticed windows stretches for about 1km, and is a mix of soba restaurants, tea houses🍵, liquor stores, guesthouses, and other residences🍶. You can feel the breath of the people who live there, and the town has been thoroughly developed, making this a spot you should definitely experience.
It's nice to stroll around during the bustling daytime, but we also recommend the quiet, atmospheric streets before the shops open📍
[Nakasendo Naraijuku] Location: Narai, Shiojiri City, Nagano Prefecture, 399-6303 Access: 30 minutes from Shiojiri IC on the Nagano Expressway, via R19 towards Nagoya
