Shirakawa-go has recently become a popular winter ❄️ destination near Nagoya, so many people may not be aware of its charm during other seasons.

In fact, Shirakawa-go is an amazing place to visit when the autumn 🍁 leaves are falling.

From the village's observatory, you can see the surrounding mountains beautifully painted in vibrant autumn colors. You can also enjoy the rice fields, which are less noticeable when covered in snow during winter.

While winter is undoubtedly magical, the best seasons to experience the rural charm of Shirakawa-go are summer and autumn.☺️

Around the area, you can also find shrines⛩️ adorned with red autumn leaves, making it a highly recommended destination for fall trips.

Additionally, instead of joining a package tour, I suggest staying in the nearby city of Takayama and exploring the area at a leisurely pace.💤
