Shirakawago in Summer

Another place really worthy to visit is shirakawago... but... I wouldn't recommend going in summer because it's waaaaay to hot!! There are limited places with shelters, except many museums or historical houses which requires an entrance fee. We bought sunscreen as soon as we saw the first convenience store after alighting the bus, and bought ice drinks less than half an hour under the sun. The buildings are really interesting though, with displays of tools locals used for farming. That is me in the first picture, the scenery looks like a painting, right? From the pictures, Shirakawago looks amazing in winter! #japan #unescoheritage #shirakawa-go
