Fastest way to travel from Osaka to Sendai for cherry blossom viewing

If you're traveling from Kansai to the Tohoku region, taking domestic flights in Japan is highly recommended. Each prefecture in the Tohoku area has its own airport, which saves time compared to other transportation methods like the Shinkansen. Depending on the airline, the travel time and ticket prices may vary. Additionally, there are discounted options such as early bird tickets, and you can save significantly on airfare by choosing budget airlines.

Free cherry blossom viewing spot in Sendai: "Shiroishi Castle" was the residence of Katakura Kojuro Shigenaga, a samurai who played an active role during the "Summer Siege of Osaka" in the Edo period. Although most of the buildings were destroyed during the Meiji era, the "Shiroishi Castle Three-story Turret" located in Masuoka Park in Shiroishi City, Miyagi Prefecture, has been restored to its original appearance. This wooden reconstruction, based on traditional Japanese architectural styles and capable of withstanding centuries, is quite rare in Japan.

Moreover, it is a popular cherry blossom viewing park. When we visited on April 5th, the cherry blossoms were only about 10-20% in bloom, so we decided not to purchase tickets to explore the castle top. Instead, we simply strolled around the park before leaving.
