Introducing Guifeng Village
Guifeng Village is located northeast of Yangzhong Town, Youxi County, at an altitude of 550 meters. It is a semi-altitude valley. Surrounded by mountains and shrouded in clouds and mist, it boasts picturesque scenery and a pleasant climate. Historically, it has been hailed as a "mountain cave" and a "cloud-covered wonderland."
The village is a place with flowing water and winding alleys. It was once an official road from Youxi to Fuzhou. It was the only transit point for dignitaries, merchants, peddlers and boatmen from Youxi to and from Fuzhou, and the only place for food and accommodation. It is known as the "Little Fuzhou".
The "Eight Scenic Spots of Guifeng" (Stalagmites Towering to the Sky, Golden Rooster Shining in the Sun, Honey Gushing from Jade Spring, Fragrant Osmanthus, Bright Moon over Yinqiao, Gentle Breeze over the Wine Seats, Roaring Dragons over the Two Borders, and Roaring Tigers over the Three Gorges) are refreshing and elegant, attracting countless writers and poets throughout the ages, who left behind hundreds of poems and songs.
