Shiyan Free Pagoda View

Location: Shiyan city in Hubei province.

Getting here: Take a short fast train from Xi'an or Wuhan...two nearby cities.

Shiyan is a really nice small city to spend a few days in. Perhaps the highlight of the city is found in people's park. Chongyang Pagoda. You can climb to the top of this attractive pagoda to get beautiful panoramic views of the city.

I went on a cloudy day but the views would be even better when it's sunny.

Hotel: Hampton by Hilton. Nice and cheap.
