📍Angkor Wat is a temple complex that was built in the 12th century by King Suryavarman II. The vast religious complex of Angkor Wat comprises more than a thousand buildings, and it is one of the great cultural wonders of the world. Angkor Wat is the world’s largest religious structure, covering some 400 acres, and marks the high point of Khmer architecture.

📸 We took a private guided tour for $15 at the entrance and did not regret! The guide was a local, very knowledgeable and knows all the best photo spots!

🧭 Almost the entire temple complex is open to be explored. It was originally built as a Hindu Temple and was later converted into a Buddhist temple. There are tons of history footprints at the site with beautiful storyline carvings in the walls.
