Angkor Wat Ruins
Among the many ruins, the rare one is
- Neak Pheang
A monument floating on the water is quite rare✨
The name means "entangled snakes"
Based on Hindu mythology, it was a spring where sick people visited to seek healing☝️
The healing spring in the center of the artificial island is surrounded on all four sides by four ponds, and there are four water gates imitating animals (photo 4).
There was also an animal monument in the central spring, but now only the horse on the east side has been restored (photo 3).
The water lilies floating on the surface of the quiet lakeside that can be seen while crossing the bridge to the island are beautiful🪷
📍Location Krong Siem Reap, west of Preah Khan
🕰️Opening hours: 7:30-17:30
🏖️Atmosphere/facilities: 5 minutes to cross the bridge and about 30 minutes to explore the island will be enough
There is a toilet in the parking lot just before the bridge
💰Price per person: No extra charge (ticket control before crossing the bridge)
💞Recommended reason: It's small and the shade is cool and pleasant🎵
It's a good place to stretch your legs after visiting Bayon👍
