The Blade Stairway To Heaven: The Ultimate Spine Leading To Angkor’s Heart

Speaking of the Angkor Wat ruins, of course, Angkor Wat comes to mind.
But in Cambodia, where summer is perpetual, it takes half a day just to see Angkor Wat alone, so it's very exhausting...
So, each ruin has something to see, but
- Banteay Kdei -
Do you know it? Although it is a small ruin, it has a good sense of ruins, with its heavy and intricately decorated gate, thin and delicate mural sculptures, Naga, which was probably the handrail of the outer corridor in the past, and a slightly mossy Singha that welcomes visitors. Personally, I think it's a big plus that it doesn't smell like bats👍
Perhaps because it is located close to Ta Prohm,
there are mangrove trees growing on the premises, which creates a nice atmosphere◎
It's a condensed sight.
Across the street from the gate, there is also the royal bath called Sra Srang (7th photo).
It is a large rectangular pond, and it is moving to think that kings in the 12th and 13th centuries bathed in such a spacious open-air bath✨
Ta Prohm, which is said to be the second most famous after Angkor Wat, is also located to the west of Angkor Wat, so even those who are not confident in their physical strength can visit all three in a day.
