Bayon Temple is the soul of Angkor Thom, a mesmerizing blend of history, art, and spirituality. As I approached the temple, the sight of its iconic stone faces—216 in total—left me spellbound. Each face, carved with a serene smile, seemed to radiate a sense of peace and wisdom, as if guarding the secrets of the ancient Khmer Empire.

Walking through the temple’s narrow passageways and climbing its steep staircases felt like stepping into a living museum.
