🚤 Getting to Koh Rong from Sihanoukville
You have two main options:
* Speed Boat
* $14 one way / $25 round trip
* Multiple daily departures
* I took this one – convenient but pricey.
* Local Ferry
* $5 one way
* Limited schedules
* Check current timetable before planning.
💡 Tip: You can use the return ticket from the speed boat any day you like.

🎉 Nest Beach Club – Saturday Party
* Famous party every Saturday night.
* Entry: $12.5 (or $10 if you buy from other hostels).
* Free beer from 3–4 PM.
* Includes a free t-shirt.
* The party usually winds down around noon the next day.

🏖️ Best Beaches on Koh Rong
🌅 Long Beach
* Stunning white sand and turquoise water.
* One of the best spots on the island to watch the sunset.
🏝️ Lonely Beach
* The most remote beach, but incredibly beautiful.
* Worth the effort if you're looking for solitude.
🐟 Fishermen’s Village
* Local village with authentic charm.
* Great for observing daily island life and grabbing fresh seafood.

🌤️ Sunset Note
Unfortunately, I couldn’t catch the sunset due to cloudy weather—but it’s on my list for next time!

✅ Other Things to Do on Koh Rong
🐠 Snorkeling & Boat Tours
* Many hostels offer half-day or full-day snorkeling trips.
* Includes stops at coral reefs and sometimes bioluminescent plankton at night.
🌌 Bioluminescent Plankton Swim
* Swim at night to see glowing plankton – an unforgettable experience.
* Best seen on moonless nights.
🧘 Relax & Disconnect
* Many beaches have no Wi-Fi or signal—perfect for digital detox.
🍽️ Beachfront Dining
* Try grilled seafood, tropical cocktails, or fresh fruit shakes right by the water.
