Flying one of Singapore Airlines' newest

Singapore Airlines is a household name - it has consistently topped worldwide airline rankings, and is know for its safety, the iconic kebaya, and impeccable service. Another less-known fact is that SQ has one of the youngest fleets in the world (7.1 years) - translating to modern and comfortable plane rides.

I flew the A350-900, one of their newest planes, on SQ712 from Singapore to Bangkok. Although a short-haul flight, the experience was pleasant from start to finish. From a fast boarding experience to on-time departure, the cabin crew were attentive and warm. Lunch served was also delicious and generously-sized (I had the prawn fried rice) and sustainable! They came in sturdy paper boxes that didn't compromise on usability or aesthetic.

The aircraft was clean, modern, and beautiful. Every seat on the plan has a USB and 3-pin plug outlet, a personal In-Flight Entertainment System, and other amenities.

Overall, it was an enjoyable flight with SQ on a much newer and larger aircraft. The A350-900 flies to many destinations, so check out SQ's schedules before booking! 10/10 recommend.
