Even in expensive Singapore, the cheapest way to travel is to go to places that don't charge an entrance fee.
A prime example of this would be #GardensbytheBay. This place is located opposite #MarinaBaySands and is centrally located.

There are two free shows held here, at 19:45 and 20:45. The night lighting is truly beautiful.

You can go to the top of the tree here by paying an entrance fee, so be sure to consider that as well.
