August is our country’s birthday month. Unfortunately we were not able to spend NDP in town. So we make it a point to bring along SG branded goodies to share with our friends overseas.

Bengawan Solo, Singapore brand which is so famous that it is our “must-bring” local goodie souvenirs. The famous Pandan cake is soft and fragrant and you can finish the whole cake all by yourself and still want more. Lol.

Another one is the famous Lim Chee Guan bak kwa. My overseas friends love their BBQ meats much more than the other brands. I can bring kilos & kilos over.

Thank goodness Jewel has both these shops and I can just buy and pop over to the GST refund counter for the paperwork before my flight. How convenient!
