Popular and iconic, Fort Canning Park is located on a hilltop and is considered to be one of Singapore's many landmarks. This park is full of history as it once was the location of the 14th century king's palace. It later became the headquarters of the British Army Barracks and Far East Command Centre. Additionally, this hill was where the decision was made to surrender Singapore to Japan. (More commonly known as Battle Box.)
