📍Cloud Forest: Highly recommended! This is a botanical garden located inside a giant glass conservatory. As soon as you enter, you’ll see a massive plant waterfall, which is super impressive! The water circulation of this waterfall powers the air conditioning system, keeping the indoor temperature around 20°C. In Singapore’s hot weather, you can enjoy sunlight while feeling cool, making it perfect for a city walk.
On sunny days, sunlight streams through the glass dome onto the lush tropical greenery, making every photo look amazing. Getting up close to the carnivorous plants is also a very novel experience—truly eye-opening!
📍Supertree: The largest of the Supertrees can be climbed to the top. There is only one elevator inside the tree, so you need to queue orderly for both up and down. The wait time is about 20-30 minutes. From the top platform of the Supertree, you get a fantastic view of Marina Bay Sands, the Singapore Flyer, and the Malacca Strait. However, it’s really sunny and hot at the top, so take your photos quickly and head down~
🚗 Transportation Tips:
If walking, you can follow the signs through Marina Bay Sands mall to reach Gardens by the Bay. The walking path is partially shaded, so you won’t be exposed to the sun the whole time. It takes about 10-15 minutes to get to the Supertree. It’s only a 5-minute walk from the Supertree to the Cloud Forest.
If taking the MRT, take the TE line to Gardens by the Bay station. When we went, to avoid the sun, we transferred from the CC Line to the TE Line at the Marina Bay Sands MRT station, which took a long time. After exiting the station, you still have to walk 15 minutes along the river to reach the Cloud Forest, which is both sunny and hot. Not recommended at all!
