Chijmes: Old church, beautiful architecture, great photo spots

#GetDiscountsWithoutLuck

We started the new morning by taking a bus to Chijmes, an old Catholic church in the heart of Singapore that has now been renovated into a complex of restaurants, cafes, and bars while still preserving the beauty of the original architecture.

The moment we entered the church area, the first thing we felt was the peaceful atmosphere. Although it is located in the bustling central business district of Singapore, inside it feels relaxing and very private. The main building of Chijmes stands out with Gothic architecture combined with European design, featuring arches, wooden doors, and stained glass windows that are well maintained. The overall atmosphere feels like stepping back in time.

Photography lovers must not miss this! Every corner here is super Instagram-worthy, whether it’s the front of the church, the fountain courtyard, or the walkway under the white arches with sunlight streaming through. It’s perfect for a stroll, taking photos, or even pre-wedding shoots!

Chill out, sip coffee amidst a classic atmosphere
There’s nothing better in the morning than sipping warm coffee in a quiet corner of Chijmes. Inside, there are many cafes and restaurants to choose from. We picked a place with outdoor seating in the courtyard. The atmosphere was great with a gentle breeze and few people, which made it even more relaxing. It’s truly another location perfect for a daytime break.

For those who love cafe hopping or enjoying coffee surrounded by beautiful architecture, Chijmes is a must-visit place! Besides the beauty of the church itself, spending time chilling here is another moment that makes our Singapore trip feel extra special.
