Introducing Shitanglin

Shitang Forest, located east of Tianchi Lake in Arxan, 84 kilometers from Arxan City, is one of the wonders of the Greater Khingan Range. A geological relic of a Quaternary volcanic eruption, it is Asia's largest recently extinct volcanic basalt landform. Its geological structure, soils, vegetation, and biotopes remain pristine, showcasing diverse biodiversity and recreating the entire process of plant succession from lower to higher order, making it of high scientific and conservation value.

The Stone Pond Forest, where rocks nestle against one another, flowers and grass blend in, and clear streams appear and disappear, is a breathtaking spectacle. Its scenery isn't about mountains or water, but about the authentic remains of a volcanic eruption. Everywhere you look, you'll see a maze of rugged, ravine-covered lava congeals, a truly spectacular sight.
