【Travel】Singapore|A Spontaneous Citywalk|Colorful

Singapore is a perfect place for a Citywalk. As you stroll slowly, you’ll always find some captivating special spots quietly appearing before your eyes.
How to find this splash of color? Let's go!

A route you can complete in one morning:

📍Stop 1: Kampong Glam 【Pics 4, 6】
Kampong Glam is a residential area. Walking through here, it’s easy to discover Singapore’s cuisine and art-filled boutique shops. Passing by, you’ll notice some people sketching, full of artistic vibes. The walls in this area also feature some beautiful, realistic murals—stop and take a photo with them. Additionally, the houses are painted in various colors, showcasing a distinct Singaporean character.

📍Stop 2: Sultan Mosque ⛪️【Pic 7】
Sultan Mosque is a famous mosque in Singapore. During visiting hours, you can enter barefoot but are not allowed into the main hall. To respect the place, visitors must wear long pants or skirts. We happened to arrive without preparation, but the mosque is great, and you can borrow a green Islamic robe at the entrance. Visiting inside was truly unforgettable.

📍Stop 3: Haji Lane 【Pic 5】
Haji Lane has many unique shops, such as ethnic clothing, postcards, and souvenir stores. When passing through, don’t forget to look up at the decorations outside the shops—each store has its own signature style!

📍Stop 4: Bugis Street Art Lane 【Pic 3】
A short walk from Haji Lane leads to this colorful staircase. Passing through some alleys, you can take the elevator in the factory building opposite to reach it.

📍Stop 5: Old Hill Street Police Station 【Pics 1, 2】
This building has 927 colorful windows. Against the backdrop of blue skies, white clouds, and lush green grass nearby, it stands out brilliantly. This is a popular photo spot. To capture the entire building, it’s recommended to shoot from across the street or from the pedestrian bridge for a different perspective.

✨Friendly tip: Singapore’s weather is quite hot, so prepare 1-2 extra bottles of water before starting your memorable Citywalk.

To sum up—Singapore’s streets are wide and flat, rarely crowded, making for a very comfortable walk^^
