Afternoon Walk Discovery: Ngee Ann Kongsi Concourse Gallery & Y-Lab at National Gallery Singapore

During my citywalk through Singapore’s Civic District, I explored the Ngee Ann Kongsi Concourse Gallery and Y-Lab at the National Gallery Singapore’s City Hall Wing. The Concourse Gallery features rotating exhibitions like Nothing Is Forever: Rethinking Sculpture in Singapore, showcasing over 70 sculptures that change periodically, offering fresh perspectives on Singaporean art.

Adjacent to this, Y-Lab serves as an innovation hub blending art and technology. Visitors can interact with prototypes such as TEMI, an autonomous robot guide, and explore immersive installations powered by AI and augmented reality . These spaces not only celebrate artistic expression but also invite public engagement, making them must-visit spots for art enthusiasts and curious minds alike.
