[Singapore] How to Spend the Night on the Day You Arrive on an Evening Flight

When you arrive in the evening on a flight from Japan, here are some night plans you can enjoy even if you don’t have much time! Please use this as a reference~

① Rain Vortex (3rd photo)
When you think of Singapore Changi International Airport, this huge indoor waterfall is a must-see!!
If you arrive at Terminals 1-3, it’s located inside Jewel, a complex directly connected to the airport, so I recommend stopping by after your flight😉
For an indoor waterfall, it’s surprisingly large and impressive.
This is definitely a place you should visit before or after your flight.

② Old Hill Street Police Station (1st & 2nd photos)
A colorful building that’s a popular photo spot among young people.
It’s a renovated former police station and a very cute place.
You can enjoy the colorful and charming atmosphere during the day, but at night it’s lit up and gives off a cooler vibe!
It’s a spot you can enjoy at any time of day.
Nearby, there’s a complex with attractions where you can also shop!

③ New Town Food Centre (6th & 7th photos)
A food center popular with locals.
I think it’s a bit of a hidden gem.
Food stalls line a plaza-like area where you can enjoy Singaporean and Malaysian cuisine.
The famous yellow sugarcane juice is a must-try.
It has a mild sweetness that will soothe your flight fatigue😙

④ Chinatown (4th-5th, 8th-10th photos)
Located near Old Hill Street Police Station, Chinatown is an area you can explore on foot.
There are Chinese temple-like buildings, an Indian-style temple inside, gift shops, and food stalls everywhere, making it a great place to enjoy the night.
Fruits are sold all around, and on a friend’s recommendation, I tried durian 😂
Surprisingly, the smell wasn’t too strong, but I didn’t like the taste.
Still, it’s something you should try at least once in your life!
There seem to be both bitter and sweet varieties~

It’s a lively area at night, so you can enjoy it for a long time.
You might be tired from your flight, but please enjoy your first night to the fullest~
