Universal Studios Singapore on a Rainy Day

Review of USS on an unexpected rainy day because I went during summer. The sky was very clear in the morning when I arrived, but it started to get dark and rain around noon, then poured heavily in the afternoon. But even though it rained, we weren’t discouraged, haha. We tried to find rides that weren’t outdoors to make the most of the visit.

The trip was during the Songkran holiday and on a Sunday, so it was quite crowded. We had regular admission tickets, but we didn’t have to wait too long for the rides. The longest wait was probably for Jurassic World because the line was very long, winding back and forth. We probably waited close to an hour, but it was another fun ride with beautifully and realistically set scenes.

My favorite zone was Revenge of the Mummy because the scenes were incredibly beautiful and realistic, both outside and inside, like bringing Egypt here. What made me love this zone so much was the super thrilling ride. I didn’t expect it to be that intense, but it was really fun and extreme. Unfortunately, they didn’t allow phones inside, so I couldn’t take any photos.

Besides the Mummy, I also liked the Jurassic World and Puss in Boots’ Giant Journey zones. Jurassic World is a ride where you sit on a tube floating down water, with a little splash but not too wet. There are some ups and downs but it’s not very wild. Puss in Boots’ Giant Journey is a short roller coaster ride, not too daring and no loops, haha. It also offers a high view of USS.

This trip was totally unplanned (including the rain, haha), but it was so much fun. It felt like releasing stress and reconnecting with my inner child again. Loved it and want to go back often!
