Lovely historic architecture and art collections

The National Gallery Museum in Singapore is a lovely collection of art pieces and other cultural artifacts from both Singapore and around the region. It's a highly fascinating museum that is quite expansive and could easily occupy a day of your time. So do plan accordingly.
The museum itself is located on the Padang, in the former buildings of the Old Supreme Court and City Hall, both of which are in British colonial style. Hence it's also an architectural marvel as the outer facade has been kept in this colonial style but much of the interior has been repurposed in order to house these collections. Nonetheless, the flow between and within the buildings itself is quite complimentary.
Overall a great visit to appreciate Singapore and Asian art and culture at one of the most interesting art museums of Asia if not the world.
