How much does it cost to take your mother to see the water-spouting lion in Singapore?

In 2020, we had the opportunity to take my mom on a 3-day, 2-night trip to Singapore 🇸🇬. It was a short trip, but filled with happiness and wonderful memories 🥰 I must say it was both worthwhile and heartwarming.

✈️ Round-trip airfare was 4,600 baht per person (not including checked luggage).

As for accommodations, we chose a hotel in a good location and reasonably priced. Two nights were 3,900 baht, which came to 1,950 baht per person. 🏨

🍴 Food, MRT/bus transportation, and souvenirs totaled approximately 2,000 baht per person. 🛍️

True's roaming SIM card cost 199 baht, which was easy to use and had a strong signal. 📱

🌟 The highlight of the trip was taking my mom to Marina Bay Sands 🌆 to admire the magnificent views, take a photo with the Merlion 🦁🌊, and stroll through Gardens by the Bay 🌳✨

But there's one story I want to tell... 🫢💧 Drinking water prices in Singapore are truly exorbitant. Small bottles can cost tens of baht, sometimes even nearly 100 baht! Those who sip water frequently might be a little taken aback 😅 But here's a little tip 👉 If you're strolling around Marina Bay Sands or the nearby casinos, try stopping by the casino 🎰. They'll have free water for you to grab 🍹. Quench your thirst without spending a dime, plus you'll get to enjoy the thrilling atmosphere of the slot machine denizens 😉 (But if you're not gambling, just strolling around is fine too, no worries!)

What made this trip so special wasn't just the location, but the time I got to spend with my mom ❤️ Taking her out, strolling, and eating delicious food is the simple joy that trumps everything 🥹✨

If you're looking for a trip near Thailand with easy access, a good transportation system, an acceptable cost of living, and safety, I highly recommend Singapore 🥳. And don't forget to bring your loved ones along, because memories like these truly cannot be bought 💕
