Banping Mountain, also known as Banping Island and Banmian Mountain, is located in Dongtou District outside the mouth of Oujiang River in Wenzhou. It is one of the main tourist attractions in Dongtou and is known as "the first screen on the sea in China."
Wenzhou has a mid-subtropical monsoon climate zone, with significant alternation between winter and summer monsoons, moderate temperatures, distinct four seasons, and abundant rainfall.
All seasons are suitable for visiting, but spring and autumn are the best.
The best way to visit Banping Island is by boat, as most of the scenic spots are located on the strongly eroded coastline on the east side of the island. The scenery is very vivid when viewed from the sea, and the terrain is particularly dangerous.
The entrance fee is 13 yuan and the boat ticket is 12 yuan.
