🇲🇾🇸🇬 Phuket Cruise on Genting Dream – Day 1

We took advantage of the September school holidays to bring both parents and kids along.

Our trip started in Ipoh, where we flew with Scoot to Singapore. After arriving, we transferred by car directly to the cruise terminal. It’s best to arrive about three hours early—you’ll have time to sit, relax, and even board earlier to enjoy lunch onboard.

I remember being quite busy filling out the arrival card while waiting to board 😂.

We booked a balcony stateroom, which I highly recommend. You can enjoy the sea view, dry swimsuits in the sun, and even get a welcome drink (adults can choose wine or cocktails, kids can take soft drinks).

The 4-day, 3-night itinerary is just the right length—you can explore all the decks and experience the facilities at a relaxed pace. Every evening there’s a show, but make sure to queue at least 30 minutes early to get good seats.

Kids will love the water park and children’s play areas, while young people can try out the more thrilling activities. There’s really something for every age group. Just note: the swimming pool can only accommodate four people at a time.

On Day 1, we started with the complimentary buffet restaurant, but later switched to the specialty paid dining options—because honestly, eating buffet every meal gets a bit boring 😂.
