My very first cruise experience—and I chose a weekend getaway from Singapore to the high seas aboard the Genting Dream.
It happened to align perfectly with a public holiday on Friday, so… why not turn it into a 3D2N ocean escape? YEAH!

🚢 Boarding: Friday, 4:00 PM (latest by 7:00 PM)
🚢 Disembarkation: Sunday, 12:00 PM

📍 Boarding & Disembarkation Tips

🔹 Do I need to check in beforehand?
Yes! Complete online check-in via the official website within 48 hours before departure.

🔹 How to get to the cruise terminal?
Take the MRT (Red Line) to Marina South Pier, Exit A → Follow signage to Marina Bay Cruise Centre
Steps:
1. Collect your room card and queue number at the entrance
2. Go through security and luggage check
3. Proceed upstairs → Scan your e-ticket → Register at the counter
4. Clear immigration (passport required) → Board the ship

🔹 Do I need to bring my passport?
Yes, since you’ll pass through immigration.
💡For high-seas-only cruises (without port stops), you can hold onto your passport—you won’t need to submit it.

🔹 How to check out?
A few hours before arrival, hallway TVs will display your disembarkation schedule by deck. Just follow the signs to your assembly area.

🔹 Luggage check-in?
Small carry-ons can be brought directly. For larger suitcases, you may need to queue to check them in—plan ahead during peak hours!

💳 Onboard Spending & Connectivity

🔹 How to make purchases?
Everything onboard is linked to your room card—even at free restaurants. It’s your key to dining, shopping, spa services, etc.

🔹 How to settle bills?
Scan the “Quick Pay” QR code near the elevators on Deck 6.
You can check your expenses and pay online before disembarkation.
💰 Gratuity Fee: SGD 27 per person per night (for Oceanview cabin)

🔹 How to buy Wi-Fi?
There’s a “Buy Wi-Fi” QR code also located on Deck 6.
You’ll need your room number and birthdate to activate.
💡 Tip: If two people are using the same package, the second device can log in using the same room & birthdate info.
📶 Price example: Standard Wi-Fi for 2 devices = SGD 42
