The Ultimate Way to Unwind at Sea

Hotel prices in Singapore are insane lately, especially around New Year’s. So we found a smarter alternative: the Genting Dream cruise.
My kid absolutely loved it! Free meals, endless fun, new friends to play with — he was happy all day, and we finally got to relax too. 😌🌴
🚢 Genting Dream Highlights:
・150,695 GT, same class as Spectrum of the Seas and MSC Bellissima
・Biggest balcony rooms in the category (20m²!)
・Way more space per guest compared to other mega ships
🍽 Food
Lots of free dining options — Chinese-style dishes, buffets, casual cafés, and even healthy meals. Drinks like tea & coffee are complimentary too!
🛏 Room
We stayed in a 20m² balcony room — super spacious for a cruise! Two adults and one child, totally comfortable.
🎡 Fun onboard
6 waterslides, pools, hot tubs, rock climbing, ropes course, zipline, stargazing movie nights — most of it free! So rare for cruises these days.
🎭 Shows & nightlife
The 999-seat theatre has nightly shows — don’t miss the “crew talent night,” it’s hilarious!
Live bands play Mandarin songs at the 360° Bar, and Zouk nightclub offers a fun adult vibe.
🧒 Kid-friendly
There’s childcare too (2 free hours/day), plus a ton of activities for kids.
🧳 Itinerary
🇸🇬 Singapore: Marina Bay Cruise Centre — central & convenient
🇲🇾 Kuala Lumpur: Port Klang (about 1hr from the city)
🇲🇾 Penang: Cruise port is right next to the heritage old town, walkable to all sights
