Genting Dream Family Guide: 4D3N Singapore🇸🇬 – Penang🇲🇾 – Port Klang🇲🇾 – Singapore🇸🇬

🏠 Cabin

Two adults + a 2-year-old in a balcony stateroom.
We reached the terminal at 9:30 a.m., finished formalities, and were in our room by 10:30 a.m. Boarding times differ by cabin type, so arriving super early isn’t very helpful. We didn’t check luggage—just a stroller and one large suitcase, which was manageable.

🍽 Day 1 — Embarkation & Food

Lunch: Dream Dining Room (Chinese), Deck 7 — semi-buffet with a fixed set menu; dishes are refillable even though the items are fixed.
Dinner: The Lido, Deck 16 — huge international selection. Dining time is limited to 1 hour. It gets crowded if you go late; we went right at opening and skipped the queue.

🏖 Day 2 — Penang

Arrival around 11:00 a.m. I’d visited before, so this stop was mainly for our toddler to explore. We did a quick loop in George Town.
Taxi from the pier to central George Town was 20 MYR; the return (not hailed at the pier) was only 7 MYR.
We ate lunch onboard first, then disembarked around 1:00 p.m., so there was no line.
Breakfast & Lunch: The Lido (easy with kids).

🌆 Day 3 — Port Klang (Klang/ Kuala Lumpur Area)

Went ashore around 10:30 a.m. Tried Bak Kut Teh (often cited as originating here), then a shopping mall (brands like Cotton On, Uniqlo). Wrapped up with seafood—just okay.
Breakfast: Dream Dining Room (Chinese) — congee, siu mai, and about five small dishes.
Dinner: Function 8 — buffet with limited variety but the best service we experienced onboard.
Show: Fabulous Chan — classic, crowd-pleasing variety show.

⚓️ Day 4 — Back to Singapore

Breakfast: The Lido — busy, expect a queue.
Disembarkation took about 1.5 hours. Balcony cabins were told 11:45 a.m.; we lined up at 11:20 a.m. (second batch) and were off by 12:45 p.m.

🎡 Onboard Notes
Pools: Windy at sea and not ideal for a 2-year-old, so just splashed once.
Little Dreamers Club: Went three times. First 2 hours free, then paid. Staff supervision; toys, books, and scheduled activities. Older kids can play Wii.
Deck 7 Promenade: Great outdoor corridor—ice cream + sea views. After Port Klang we sat there watching sail-away.
Welcome Drink: Each keycard can redeem one free welcome drink (one-time only).
