We kicked off our summer escape with a cultural walk through Lorong Budaya Setia Kwan, soaking in the rich heritage and charming atmosphere. Next, we wandered down Mural Art Street, where vibrant street art brought the town’s history to life. A visit to the Settlement Museum deepened our understanding of the local Foochow roots, and we couldn’t resist grabbing some freshly baked Cheong Cia Gong Pian, a local delicacy.

Lunch was a delightful treat at the famous Seng Jee Chan, known for its traditional Hainanese fare. As the sun set, we explored the lively Tuk Pek Kong Youth Market, buzzing with food, crafts, and music. We wrapped up the day with a cozy night at Mornington Hotel, ready for more adventures tomorrow.
