Skardu is the gateway to some of the tallest peaks in the world — but even if you’re not climbing K2, it’s still worth the visit. I spent a few days soaking in views of the Indus River, exploring Shangrila Lake, and hiking to Shigar Fort. The landscape is like a painting — snowy peaks, crystal-clear lakes, and endless sky. It’s peaceful and perfect for nature lovers.
