Yeonggeumjeong, a popular tourist attraction in Sokcho

Yeonggeumjeong is a large, wide rock formation on the shore below Sokcho Lighthouse in Dongmyeong-dong, Sokcho-si. The name comes from the mysterious sound of the waves crashing against the rocks, which is said to resemble the sacred sound of a geomungo (Korean zither).

Yeonggeumjeong is a place I visit every time I visit Sokcho.

It's a short climb, so the stunning ocean view is breathtaking. The refreshing waves and the sounds are truly captivating.
It's also a great place for taking pictures. ^^ It's located at Dongmyeong Port, so stop by!
